"This is Mordecai Aradanas Vanthis, an avid scholar of the esoteric, eldritch knowledge. While he stands unremarkably amongst his more lively and "colorful" adventuring companions, he makes it up with the power and affinity to the cosmic powers of his unknowable, unnamed Patron.

Here, the scholar tries time and time again to master powers beyond his comprehension. At times, results are favorable, mundane or even dangerous. As he now attempts to call upon the unknowable cosmic beings from beyond space and time, it's usually a gamble whether they grace him with a favor at the very least... or a curse to him, or gods forbid, his unsuspecting companions."
